Kasei Valles is the name of a giant system of
Canyons on the surface of Mars, making up
one of the planets largest outflow channels
from a time when there were large bodies
of water on the planets' surface.
The use of gradient in this painting is
deliberately reminiscent of the Japanese
wood block printing tradition, ukiyo-e.
